After Watching Materialists, Do I… Like Dakota Johnson Now?

It’s taken some Persuasion, but maybe I’ve come around

Despite what this subhead may suggest, I still think her version of Persuasion was awful.

I first titled this post “I Take Back Every Mean Thing I’ve Ever Said About Dakota Johnson” but as one does when they’re thinking of taking back mean things, I said let’s not be too hasty, because I meant a LOT of it. Becoming an adult is about being able to admit when you were wrong. If I’m ever wrong, I’ll admit it. For now, after seeing her new film Materialists, I am open to thinking about being open-minded.
