My Plea To Blue Ivy Carter For The Cowboy Carter Setlist

For Beyoncé’s management’s eyes only! (And y’all)

It’s that time of year again—no, not when the diva cardinals are electing a new pope, although that’s happening too, it’s that time when the diva of them all is back on the road, it’s first night of the Cowboy Carter Tour y’all, and to help kick it off, I’m starting it with a plea to Beyoncé’s manager, Blue Ivy Carter.

There are some pivotal moments in life—whether or not Julia Roberts was going to give love with Hugh Grant a try in Notting Hill (yes), or whether or not me and Theo James will kiss (also yes, eventually) but perhaps the most important, perhaps the most pivotal, was whether or not Beyoncé was going to keep Diva from I Am Sasha Fierce on the setlist for the Renaissance World Tour. And thankfully, which we see in the Renaissance film—a film that you can’t see anywhere else but all up in your mind—there was Blue urging her to do so.

I come to Blue, humbly on the day that is the first day of the Cowboy Carter Tour with a similar plea for setlist inclusions:

Openers

A really funny thing about Beyoncé is that she kind of hates us, and we know that she loves doing things that people don’t expect, but she knows that we know she knows that—as such, she’s gonna open with Daddy Lessons or Pray You Catch Me. Opening with 16 Carriages or Blackbiird feels too obvious.
