The comedown of the DWD VFF press junket feels worse than whatever Cara Della Vinky must have felt after the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. It’s worse than when Ashlee Simpson was discovered lip-synching on SNL and instead of starting the track over or catching up with it, she decided to do a hoe-down (however, she gave us Autobiography, so I have forgiven her trespasses.) It’s worse than when Justin Timberlake whipped Janet Jackson’s tiddie out during the Super Bowl (which Super Bowl you ask? Girl I don’t remember!) and left her to deal with the media blowback alone (and yes he gave us Dirty Pop, but it wasn’t just him, it was all of *NSYNC, so atonement DENIED.) It’s worse than — you know what, I’ve made my point. It was BAD.
In other news, former Gleeks and Warblers alike rejoice! As a lover of the film Precious (2009) it’s interesting to see Ms. Rain’s Each-One-Teach-One dropout, Lea Michele replace Beanie Feldstein as Fanny Brice on Broadway’s Funny Girl.
