I agree that the best actress category is STACKED. I do wish my girl Rosamund had made it for best supporting. I so enjoyed her...as I did Saltburn in general. But don’t tell Twitter
She was. She always is!!! Also, Barry Keoghan deserved a nomination. I very much enjoyed Saltburn, even more because I thought it was going to be utter trash and it was so much fun.
I hate you for saying "bring in the sheets" LOL!!!! I hate myself for hating that the academy is a bunch of Nolan fanboys because I am a Nolan fanboy and I am not even... a boy. My hypocrisy! And, what you said about Carey Mulligan, that works for Leo: he's always best in class. Why do they hate him? You don't have to give it to him, fine, but nominate the man. Not nominating him is just... inaccurate. Speaking of, when a movie makes a zillion dollars they always nominate the director James Cameron, but when it's Greta... (I don't even like Barbie. I mean I love the doll, I grew up in the 80s, but not the film). Mostly I'm excited for American Fiction, a feat of originality/subtlety/humor about a topic that everyone fails to approach with any of those things, for my imaginary boyfriend of many years Jeffrey Wright. PS: What does Paul Giamatti have on these voters? Is it a spell?
I think Leo is the Meryl of his generation. Actors who make acting look so natural people don’t see them as worthy of winning/nominating because they aren’t trying. It’s sad, but it’s the truth
One hundred percent. And then when he does something over the top and loud like fight a bear (or in Denzel's case, say King Kong aint got shit on me, or in Pacino's case "hoo hah") then they give the award. It's annoying.
I mean that’s directly tapping into my fantasy, so I hope so. I do think he needs to take a hiatus and come back in the role of a bad guy if he wants to take the trophy. Until then I will rewatch Burnt!

She was SO GOOD! Women are really having a year (but not in best director category)
