And unto Mary the angel said “You will be visited by three spirits—the spirit of Renaissance, the spirit of Cowboy Carter, and—well we don’t know what the third spirit is, but we will clock that tea when it comes.” My memory is a little fuzzy on details of that scripture, but what I do know is that three things in life are certain—death, taxes¹—and Beyoncé giving us an iconic performance that only she can give, this time via Netflix livestream during halftime on Christmas Day, and there wasn’t a SINGLE buffering moment! Let the church say Amen! (Or actually, *a woman!)
